How do you follow the clues to a killer, when you can’t even trust your own senses?Ever since her traumatic car wreck two months ago, CSI tech Lara has struggled with debilitating headaches and nightmares. Already reeling from the recent loss of her parents, the wreck was just another blow to Lara’s damaged psyche. Despite the concern of her sister and her co-workers over her health, she throws herself into her latest case: catching a serial killer with a unique signature. With a new murder every few days, time is of the essence. Especially disturbing to Lara is the fact that all of the murdered women look so much like her beloved sister.As the body count rises, Lara’s already fractured mind begins to unravel. Multiple mistakes at her job culminate in her dismissal, an event which sends her over the edge. When pure chance leads to Lara’s discovery of the killer’s identity, will she be able to stop the murders? Or will her colleagues and friends pay the ultimate price for her failure?
