Those doing business in international markets need an effective command of English. "Business Initiatives" aims to teach English as an international business language. Those following the course will hear speakers from America, Britain, Germany, France and Japan recorded on cassette. The course covers 16 common business themes, including planning and managing, dealing with customers and working with colleagues. All four language skills are taught, with special emphasis given to speaking. "Business Initiatives" can be used as a consecutive programme or as individual training modules. The course consists of a coursebook, a teacher's guide and a set of two cassettes.
